20 Years

Bienvenue au Chateau is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The association of Bienvenue au Chateau has now existed for twenty years.

Unique of its kind it has gathered together 140 chateaus and private residences from the west of France(Normandy, Brittany, Loire, Poitou Charentes,and Central) rigourously chosen according to a common charter of quality.

Its aim is to contribute to the safeguarding and development of the economy of the chateaus,and private dwellings by offering a very personal welcome to paying guests.

Beside the character accomodation and the quality service provided Bienvenue au Chateau offers a choice of stops, off the beaten track which enables personal discovery of the five regions,their fascinating history and the proprietors who have made welcoming guests a real art form.

On this celebation of twenty years of the Association.the whole year of 2010 will be marked by events and gatherings geared to the places,.the seasons, the attractions - cultural,touristic and sporting in each region.

The first date to note was St Valentine's Day.
